PERFORMANCE CONTRACTING - MEASUREMENT AND VERIFICATION
Measurement and verification
The purpose of measurement and verification is to provide calculated and empirical evidence that the energy conservation measures we install provide the energy savings we guarantee. Our guiding principal in developing a measurement and verification philosophy is to provide the level of verification necessary to clearly demonstrate savings have been achieved, while minimizing the cost to implement the measurement and verification plan. A clearly defined, easily understood measurement and verification plan that reduces the chances for contention or discord will have dramatic impact on the perceived effectiveness of the performance contract.
All of our measurement and verification plans abide by the philosophy and guidance of the most current version of the International Performance Measurement and Verification Protocol (IPMVP). We've sat on committees that help write and review these protocols, and we are experienced in utilizing all of the options presented in the protocol, based on your needs.
