PERFORMANCE CONTRACTING - PROJECT AND CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT
Project and construction management
We often serve as prime contractor and take on sole responsibility for all aspects of projects. All subcontracts are written, executed, and administered by our personnel.
Our project managers supervise the installation of the energy conservation measures. They are responsible for your overall satisfaction with the installation and construction. All subcontractors report directly to our project manager, who then reports updates and results to you.
A construction manager is assigned to all of our projects and is on-site on a daily basis. The construction manager is responsible for day-to-day construction issues and field supervision of all subcontractors. This helps avoid needless and costly delays during construction and assures that work progresses as planned.
Our ability to assume the risk of a construction project allows added flexibility and options to our successful management capabilities. Based on your needs and preferences, we can offer lump sum, open book cost plus, or guaranteed maximum price (GMP) contracts. We hold construction contracts and provide payment and performance bonds. You can transfer the risk associated with the construction of the project to us, while still maintaining excellent cost and quality control services.
We’ve developed management tools and approaches specifically tailored to the performance contracting industry.
Project Procedures Document
Our project procedures document is a chronological list of all the important steps that we take from the initial development to final completion of a project. We update the guide on a regular basis to incorporate key lessons learned and ensure that past approaches are still the best practices of today. Every task and step has an associated person who is responsible for seeing that it gets completed. It’s how we ensure that nothing gets missed and that every project we complete meets the same high standard of quality on which we stake our reputation.
Budget Analysis Tool
Through the benefit of our budget analysis tool, our clients gain full and complete insight into the ramifications of each project based construction decision. It functions in the same way a checkbook accounting system does for your personal finances. Instead of waiting for traditional accounting systems to catch up with project expenditures, our project managers are armed with up-to-date information on the financial status of the projects they manage so they can make smart decisions about cost impacts.
Look-Ahead Meetings
Our standard practice is to conduct three week look-ahead meetings with our clients prior to and during construction so that you are completely aware of construction schedules and the impact they may have on your site and facilities. This communication allows you to provide input on the rescheduling of construction components that may infringe upon your planned activities. We understand how important it is to minimize the impact of our activities on your mission, regardless of the type of organization you run. |
